David McLaughlin represents individuals and corporations in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.  In recent years, Mr. McLaughlin has represented leading companies in industries such as sports and fitness, entertainment, construction, real estate, transportation, and medicine.  He has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including trademark and intellectual property disputes, non-compete agreements, professional malpractice, construction contracts and construction defects, product liability, securities, shareholder actions, zoning and land use, environmental law, real estate and developer disputes, white collar crime, administrative law, and other commercial matters.

Mr. McLaughlin is also a Florida licensed construction contractor.  He has hands-on experience working as a contractor for some of the nation’s largest developers, and has served as corporate counsel for private contractors.  While Mr. McLaughlin has been practicing law in state and federal courts for over 16 years, he has prior experience working as a professional in the information technology, real estate, employee benefits and compensation, and education fields.  He has real and practical knowledge about how people think, act, and respond in a multitude of circumstances.  Having experience programming in 12 different computer languages, Mr. McLaughlin has a keen eye for details and an uncanny ability to identify the critical questions that can make or break a case.  He often says, “I don’t make anyone look bad.  I only ask the questions.  It’s their answers that do all the damage.”
