Lance D. King represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. He has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including breach-of-contract claims, commercial disputes, employment discrimination defense, real estate matters, professional malpractice, debtor and creditor claims, and other matters.

 

Mr. King also has substantial experience representing governmental entities, having represented a number of Florida cities and other governmental agencies as outside general counsel at a prior law firm. His practice has included a transactional component as well, including drafting contracts and providing advice as general counsel to private and public entities and individuals on a range of matters, including commercial transactions, governmental compliance, real estate issues, business entity formation, employment issues, and other matters.

 

Mr. King graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. As a law student, he served as an editor on the Florida Law Review, and was named to the Dean’s List each term for academic achievement. He also served as a judicial extern for a Senior U.S. District Court Judge, helping to research the law and draft judicial opinions.

 

Mr. King represents clients with a care and devotion born from a deep belief in the attorney’s duty to put their clients’ interests first, and a conviction that helping others vindicate their legal rights is one of life’s great honors.
