Robert Case brings his analytical and organizational skills as a trial attorney to the forefront when helping his business clients solve a variety of problems. Whether litigating a construction lien issue, a complex contract dispute, or a real estate title problem, Mr. Case has significant experience in Florida’s federal, state, and appellate courts. He recognizes the value of early analysis of his client’s claims or defenses and often proposes creative options so his clients may achieve their desired result without protracted litigation.
In preparing for trial or arbitration, his clients’ claims and defenses are effectively developed through his methodical approach to discovery and motion practice. Regardless of the type of matter being handled, Mr. Case maintains continuous contact with his clients so that they are always positioned to make good business decisions related to their lawsuit.
Mr. Case also recognizes that contracts prepared by an accomplished litigator may help to avoid common problems faced by a business in a lawsuit. As a result, Mr. Case has developed a transactional practice for clients who wish to use an attorney who understands both lawsuits and transactions to negotiate and draft their contracts. His transactional practice includes negotiating and drafting business contracts, preparing employment and non-compete agreements, as well as handling issues surrounding the sale and purchase of land and writing title insurance.
Mr. Case is an “AV” rated attorney, the highest rating achievable for legal ability and ethics by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which is the facilitator of the peer review process that rates attorneys. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary.*
In 2014, 2015, and again in 2019, Mr. Case was rated by Super Lawyers as an outstanding lawyer who has attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Super Lawyers selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluation. Mr. Case’s selection was based on his experience in Commercial, Real Estate, and Banking litigation.
Mr. Case currently is an arbitrator member of The Florida Bar’s Fee Arbitration program for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. In that role, Mr. Case hears and decides the merits of fee disputes between Members of The Florida Bar and their clients. Mr. Case is also a former member of the Board of Directors for MicheLee Puppets, an established, not-for-profit organization dedicated to giving children the necessary tools to meet life’s challenges and providing motivation to make meaningful contributions to society through puppetry arts.
